Your question you posed in the pole was tough for me to answer. Ultimately,it comes down to what is done with that information. I can see where companies would want to have that right but I also believe in the right to privacy. Credit issues come from all different reasons. If someone was overlooked for a position because they went through a divorce and their prior spouse ruined their credit, they should not continue to suffer. With that being said bad credit should not disqualify one from employment. So, if employers run credit checks the results, if adverse, should not be a determining factor. The problem we have with the current economy I can imagine how many people are in the bad credit boat.
